Product Description The PowerLook III is a single-pass, high-resolution scanner optimized for professionals in electronic publishing, graphic arts, commercial printing, catalogue design, advertising bureaus, professional photographers and photo labs. The PowerLook III combines 42bit color depth and maximum optical density. This creates high-quality scans from images as small as 35mm slides with complete versatility for scanning multiple media formats: transparencies, slides, reflectives and negatives. The PowerLook III also includes the patented Bit Enhancement Technology (BET) - a unique technology that significantly improves the signal to noise ratio of the scanner. By understanding how the scanner reacts to colors and shades, the BET firmware adjusts the information at scan time so that the final image has been normalized to be as close to perfection as possible. BET not only retains the original color information, but also enhances it to a higher bit depth. This means, scans using 12 bits per color can deliver 14 bits of color accuracy. The PowerLook III offers flexibility not available with most scanners - the ability to scan a full range of different media types with the same scanner.
