Great system with the V550 November 22, 2005 Steven G. Small (Los Angeles, CA) 19 out of 22 found this review helpful
I bought the V550 and this printer for my wife, who wanted something simple. I was looking for a more expensive camera for myself. However, this system is great and the camera is so good, I'm just using it along with her. Haven't tried the wifi/bluetooth yet. Pictures print on a coated paper that looks great and feels great. Its so small we take it on vacations with the camera and its a lot of fun to print out pictures while we're there.
Great Printer just a few odd thoughts April 28, 2006 James L. Doherty (Eastern PA USA) 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
This printer is wonderful. It presents great prints quickly through variety of connections. Its prints are high quality and quite water proof (the water just beads up, nothing runs). I think anyone purchasing it should know a few important points. 1. the Wi-Fi card sticks out of printers side preventing you from closing the slot cover if it is installed. 2. you don't "print" to it through BlueTooth, you copy pictures to the printer with a file transfer utility. (This does mean that you can send your cell phone pictures directly to it if your cell phone has bluetooth). 3. setting up any wireless options REQUIRES a USB connection to your computer. 4. It has no ON/OFF switch. I am very happy with this printer.
A very disappointing purchase June 24, 2006 sjrnv (Nevada) 11 out of 13 found this review helpful
I read all the reviews and comments on this Kodak printer I could find. Many gave glowing reviews. I'd just purchased a new Kodak digital camera, and thought this printer dock would make a perfect setup. I was never able to get the printer to perform as Kodak says it should. It caused some odd conflict, and my computer would not boot into Windows XP with the printer attached to the computer. I ended up having to disconnect the printer, turn on my computer, and then reconnect the printer in order to use it. Windows then had to always reinstall the printer drivers. It was made even more frustrating by Kodak's tech support. I called and emailed multiple times for assistance. In one conversation I was literally told "I don't know what's wrong and can't help you." Now that's tech support! Finally the printer refused to print telling me that it was out of paper. I tried all Kodak's remedies, none worked. No matter how much or how little paper was in the machine, it said there was no paper. I even opened a fresh pack to find it still fussy and not let me print. I can't recommend this printer. I could give a better recommendation had Kodak itself, through its tech support, at least have provided my with some competent assistance. I got about 2 dozen prints, quite a large cost for printer and supplies for a few prints before the machine just failed to work at all. About the only positive I can give is that the prints I did get looked good, the color was nice. I gave it an extra star for print quality alone. Kodak was a name that had some strength behind the name once upon a time. It was synonymous with home photography once upon a time. They've lost something over the years, and that is quality.
Excellent Printer to print your own! February 23, 2006 Tommy H. Hester (Rome, GA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I was skeptical when I first read about the Easy share printer, but after that first photo was printed I was hooked. So easy to use and some of the best pictures I have seen. Price per picture is a little higher but I don't have to print all the bad ones. I taught my wife to use it and now she keeps everyone supplied with pictures of the grandchildren.
