This is an excellent product at a good price. I bought this for the extra capacity in my Canon 3S-IS; I wanted to shoot many hundreds of stills and also some memory-hungry video while on safari. It records super-fast which does seems to help camera performance: the lag time between still shots is less than for slower cards and videos of any size finish writing a mere instant after you hit the 'stop' button.
Tip: Check all your memory cards before you leave the store! One Ritech card I bought at a local camera store (not Amazon) had to be exchanged because it would not record. It was missing it's little side switch and could not be "unlocked".
Tip#2: SD cards are so small they are very easy to lose in the clutter of a jammed suitcase or backpack. Consider putting extras in a gallon-sized clear zip-lock bag. It won't take up volume but is hard to lose.
