Poorly misrepresented product description May 17, 2008

I bought this frame about a week and a half ago. I specifically wanted a digital frame with an internal memory that I could transfer old scanned family photos from my comptuter to the frame. The product description says there is internal memory and that the program Optipix enables you to transfer pics. Well after a week of frustratingly trying to get this to work without having to get a SD card I have failed. This frame does not,at least the one I have purchased, allow pictures to be transfered from the computer and I am not happy about it. I dont have time to exchange it so I will now have to purchase an SD card. Other than the badly misrepresentaion on the product description,the frame is really nice looking with the white matte and the picture quality is decent for most pictures. I have to buy 2 more digital frames, and for my purpose I won't be buying this one again.

I purchased this item as a gift on May 14th, 2008. However, I did not research it as much as I should have (I didn't think I had to). I was under the assumption that you can download pictures directly from your computer using a USB cable and they would be stored in the frame's 128 MB memory. Not the case! First, there was no USB cable included; I had to purchase one. Then, when nothing was happening, I found out that this cannot be done as the frame has NO internal memory. All it has is a USB port that you connect your flash drive to. This is the only was you get your pictures from the computer to frame. Now, you need to purchase one of those. The Optipix download did not work, either. After calling the company, I found out your needed a memory card slot on your computer. If you didn't have one, you had to purchase a memory card reader. Nonsense to a non-technical person! No where does it state this on the product. After hanging up the phone, I still was not sure how to get the Optipix to work. In the end, it was not worth it. It is very deceiving! I only recommend this product if you want to view pictures from a memory card or USB flash drive.
