Product Description Sharp has revolutionized the micro-compact "pico" projector market with the introduction of the Notevision "XR" Series. The sleek, micro-compact design, combined with high brightness, and high quality Carl Zeiss optics, makes the XR-1X (XGA) the ultimate choice for both data and video projection.Offering both a "standard" operating mode and low-power "economy" mode enables the XR series to meet the requirements of most any room or application. And, in the low-power mode, providing a lamp life of up to 4000 hours, with low fan noise and power consumption, ensures the XR-1X is exceptionally quiet and economical to operate. The Notevision XR series is fully featured with an OSD (on-screen display) operation guide, LED backlit operation buttons, and system lock functions. In addition to offering computer compatibility up through SXGA+, the XR-1X offers extensive DTV/HDTV compatibility. Automatic Digital Keystone and sync further simplifies setup, and a handy credit-card size remote control is included (offering not only wireless mouse function, but also "Freeze" and Resize" presentation support).

The Cadillac of Projectors!! June 15, 2005 Colleen Van Guilder 0 out of 68 found this review helpful
I have just ordered one of these from Amazon the night before I wrote this review, so I haven't received it yet. But just looking at the description make me drool in anticipation! I was especially attracted to its small size. While I was "projector shopping", the size was one of my concerns. When I recieve this in the mail and get it up and running, I'll probably write a follow-up review discussing it's pros and potentional cons. You may be turned off by the price, but considering the abundance of features that it offers, it can be a wise investment!
Stunning performance in micro-sized package. October 4, 2006 Vincent X. Shaw (Arlington, WI) When I bought this I had no idea how good it is, especially when I compare it to other models out there now. DLP, auto-imaging, Carl-Zeis lens, mouse-remote for USB presentations, and the list goes on with it's remarkable resolution and quality build. Sometimes you buy something and have buyer's regret, but not with this one. Oh boy, when I look around and compare with what's around locally, I can't believe how much I got in this tiny package. Since I move around a lot, this is my TV to have. I use it for PS2, Web surfing, and DVD & Dvr watching. I simply project with a screen, yep you heard it, directly on the wall, making a 20ft+ sized super wall of video. It's so large with such great detail thanks to the resolution, that I often have 1 window surfing the web, while in the adjacent window my wife and I recline watching our DVR recordings together. Much better than slouching over my laptop, you bet!
