This hard drive is excellent, but the packaging is misleading. It reads like it is only compatible with WindowsXP and Vista. It does come with a CD full of junk that I guess works with Windows, but nothing of importance. I installed mine in one of the open bays in my intel Mac G5, formatted it and everything runs superb. Because of the simplicity in the G5's innards I didn't need the cables and jumpers provided.
For a better buy though you should get the terabyte version for just a little bit more. WD's Green Power kit is excellent and increases your memory exponentially.
