Search the Seagate community forum on this one. It will simply disappear from your BIOS at ramdom intervals and give you the blue screen of death. I fixed all my PC problems by replacing this drive.
Don't waste your time and money on this one.
Not Detected - Dissapearing November 22, 2008
ST3V3 (Chester, VA)
This drive (ST3640323AS w/firmware SD13) has a problem where it will randomly disappear and not be detected by the BIOS.
Seagate is ignoring the problem and trying to avoid the customers that have this problem.
