Lensbaby not for Nikon D40 March 29, 2008 V. Dhagat (Old Saybrook, CT USA) 1 out of 9 found this review helpful
I was so excited to get this product. I thought i would improve my photographic skills, but it hardly works with Nikon D40. They should mention that it only works with high end professional cameras like D300, D200, D2xs etc. Quality is fine but the result i get from broad daylight are very poor. I will not recommend this product for Aspiring Pro Photogs
d40? June 20, 2008 Evan G. Smith (Cumberland, Maine United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
this will work with cameras like the d200 etc, but you need to set the camera to full manual and figure out the exposures yourself. as the description says at the top, the lensbaby doesnt communicate with the camera body. also the focus on the 1.0 is by fingertip so theres a high failure rate and low repeatability, the 3.0 can be locked in if you feel like spending $250 on it.
Impressionist images July 3, 2008 M. Farmer I love this lens! I am seeing the world through different eyes now. This makes photography fun again. I have tried the new 3G and personally I like this Original version best. Highly recommend it!
