Do Not Buy July 14, 2008 Natalie (WA, USA) 11 out of 13 found this review helpful
Please do not buy this computer. I had this computer for two months and the screen is cracked internally. Dell said that I caused the damage and I would have to pay $400 to fix it. I work in social services and I don't have that kind of money. $400 is my rent for the month. I am now using my old Toshiba laptop that I have had for almost 6 years without any issues. I never taken it off my desk it has never dropped. This model in particular has the problem of internally cracked screens, just do some online searches and you will see this problem come up constantly. Stay away from this product.

Dude, DONT BUY A DELL!!!!! November 11, 2008 powderday (snow covered mountains) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The absolute WORST experience with customer service EVER! They will try not to help you at any cost. You will be transfered, hung up on, and given the run around as much as possible. If you plan on throwing the computer away when it breaks, which will probably be right out of the box, then go ahead and get a Dell. Otherwise look anywhere else! -5 stars if it was an option!
Defective graphics November 23, 2008 Reality Hammer The 1525 series has built-in graphics chips that you can't change or upgrade. That would be one thing a consumer could choose to live with...except this configuration is defective. It will fail...routinely, consistently and relentlessly. Unfortunately for me I spent the first month transferring files from my old machines and working almost exclusively online and with office applications. By the time I got around to using programs that were even minimally graphics intensive it was already past the point where Dell would let me swap it for another model. This model makes me miss my old 6000! Buyer beware!
