Pretty good for the price but Amazon desc has errors August 5, 2006 Niceville Jazz Lover (Niceville, FL USA) 22 out of 22 found this review helpful
I just wanted to point out to potential buyers that the information in Amazon's product description is in once case wrong and in another case subject to differing opinion. 1) In the design section it says "And when you're not listening to your portable device, coil up your earphones and store them in the protective carrying case included with purchase so that they don't get tangled up with your keys, cell phone, or other accessories." THERE IS NO CASE OF ANY SORT INCLUDED WITH THESE! 2) In the first paragraph of the product description it says: "Constructed with individually adjustable ear clips and packaged with an ear adapter set that includes extra ear pads in small, medium, and large sizes". I guess I expected something different from reading that. The two extra earpad sets that are included are not as much different in size (small/medium/large as it implies) as they are in style. Although both of the two extra sets make them larger than the removable ring that is included on them as they are packaged. One set is the foam pad covering, and the other set is more of a rubber flange that adds greater sealing potential. In summary, they sound very good for the price and if you don't mind the assymetrical cable style and you like the ear clip style then I'd recommend them. ALL YOU GET IS EXACTLY WHAT IS SHOWN IN THE PICTURE AMAZON HAS FOR DISPLAY! (at least as of 8/5/06 when I wrote this.)
The most comfortable headphones I've ever owned. August 20, 2006 S. Gottlieb 17 out of 17 found this review helpful
My ears are really sensitive and I can't use the insertable earbuds or anything with foam. I ordered these headphones because they looked like they would be really comfortable, and they are. I don't think they would be very good for wearing while jogging or doing aerobics but I mostly listen while I am doing housework or going for a walk, and they stay on fine. The sound quality is fine for radio, podcasts, and music. If you are an audiophile, they are not for you either, but just for daily listening, they seem good. Every other pair of headphones I've ever had either irritates my ears or gives me a headache from pressing on my head, but I could wear these all day and not be bothered by them.
Great sound, comfort -- quality earphones November 9, 2006 Paul E. Noronha (San Francisco, CA) 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
I bought these earphones for a couple of reasons - the price was good for the brand and I liked the "over the ear" clip-on design of the earphones. My ears must be deformed or something -- I can't get those plug style or iPod stock earphones to stay in my head - they keep falling out. The Sennheiser's were perfect for me and are very comfy in my ears. The sound quality is MUCH better than the iPod stock earphones. Also, the quality of the cables are much better than Sony products -- they are sturdy and strong and haven't frayed or separated at all. I highly recommend this product.
Bass? Really?? August 2, 2007 IT SuperFreak (San Diego, USA) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
This set of earphones is very comfortable, and as indicated by another reviewer, the adapters are NOT different sizes, but different shapes. While this product is general well-crafted, the sound quality did not meet expectations. The mids and highs were ok, but there is very little bass response (despite the claim). Even my standard PSP headphones had more bass than these, which was quite disappointing. Also, at mid-to-high volume (not crazy-high), distortion is introduced and easily heard. I think there are definitely better alternatives out there at this price point.
Great for exercising! July 25, 2007 Elizabeth M. Grace (Long Beach, CA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I have been searching for a pair of earphones to wear while running for 2 years. This is the first pair (I've had 6) that I find truly satisfactory. The ear clips are bendable, allowing for a close fit, but they do not pinch. The speakers are comfortable without any sharp edges. Because the cord is assymetrical, you can wrap it behind your head avoiding that choking sensation that sometimes occurs. An added plus is the volume control on the cord, which works even when you have your iPod on "hold". I'm not particularly picky about sound and, as I run outside, prefer not to use headphones that claim to block everything out. I just want to hear decently without re-adjusting every few minutes and these are great. I did a long run of 12 miles to test them out and never touched them once. These are a definite winner!
