Ok, first I have some complaints not related to the content of the program.
The first shipment we received took over a month, even though it was release the day we purchased it. When it arrived the disks were so scratched they looked used. I installed the disks but also emailed Amazon. They shipped a replacement the next day. Great right?
No, the replacement disks still look like the manufacturer dropped them on the floor and scuffed it around before picking it up.
Also, the disks are DVD-ROM only. So if you don't have a drive that will read DVD-ROMs, don't even buy this. It *will not* install with a basic CD-ROM drive.
Ok, on to the software. We used this software to replace Print Shop 12. The layout is a different color. That's it. Sure, you might be able to make a cutesy announcement for your new niece or something, but the graphics are the same. (The same bizarre ones, such as "Amputee Bunny". No lie - it's there.) You would think in 10+ years and such advancements in technology we'd get some new pictures, but no.
So in conclusion, if you can find an older version for much cheaper - get it! I'm sure a popular online auction site or maybe some friends will have it.

After hearing that Print Shop 22 was not compatible with Windows Vista, I waited and recently purchased Print Shop 23 Deluxe. Pay attention to the operating system requirements. You must have either Windows XP SP3 or Windows Vista SP1. The installation discs are DVD-ROMs, NOT CDs, so you must have a DVD drive.
Unlike previous user reports of long delivery times, damaged discs and corrupt installs, my package arrived from Amazon in two days and included two shiny unblemished discs and a half inch thick user manual.
The setup was painless and took just under 25 minutes for a complete installation including registration and a short optional survey. A full install including artwork stored on the hard drive will take up close to 8GB.
The program launched flawlessly right after installation (no Restart required) and the features worked just fine. It will take several seconds for Print Shop to initialize (as did prior versions) but a little patience will be rewarded.
Print Shop has always been a great application and this new version follows that tradition!

All of a sudden, PrintShop22 stopped printing and every time I tried, it locked up my computer. A friend bought ver 23 and offered to let me load it and try it out. Nope; just as bad. I can create great projects, but can't print a single one!
The online help is WORTHLESS since they believe that their product has no problems and recommend that I try to print other applications and then when they don't print, call Microsoft. Nope; every single program I have prints except theirs.

I bought the new Print Shop and it's incredibly easy to use. It comes on two DVDs with a user manual to help you figure out how to get started. There are TONS of images and templates - so many you can always find something that works. I made the most adorable postcard announcements for my daughter Winnie. I can't wait to get started on stuff for the holidays. I give Print Shop 23 two thumbs up and 5 stars!

I am so sad to give Print Shop Deluxe 23 a rating of only "3". I have used this program since it was a "6" and no matter what other print programs I've purchased this has always been the best. But, when I open the graphics there are many to choose from, but there are many more not accessible. Under those graphics it says "available online". First off I've paid for the program, full suggested retail price. Well, apparently that's a sin. I should have downloaded it. No one will talk to me. Broderbund will not acknowledge Deluxe 23 and said I should go to Encore. I waited 34 minutes on their customer service only to be told the same thing. I tried to log onto Riverdeep, but another company kept coming up. I cannot get the extra graphics "available online" for the life of me. I've spent literally hours trying to make this work. I'm not super computer smart, but I've been around the block a little. So I can only give my favorite program a "3" and hope that you have an easier time than I.
