great stethoscope May 2, 2007 T. Fleury (Dover, NH United States) 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
I have been an EMT-Intermediate for 6 years, and every time i get into our ambulance its a different stethoscope with a different diaphragm that is just awful. All i use it for is BPs and Lung Sounds really, but it works great for both and is very comfortable. A friend of mine who is an RN recommended this, and for the price, it is the best stethoscope on the market (IMHO)... wish it came with a nametag or some extra earpieces, but for $40, its the best deal on the market. This was the least expensive with shipping that I found online, and in the 5 medical supply catalogs I reviewed before purchasing. Do yourself a favor, and buy this.
works well for me January 12, 2007 Henrie (Utah) 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
I purchased this from another site at a comp. price(I think the retail is way over). I use it for my clinicals and labs in my LPN program. It is comfortable and I have been able to hear clearly. I didn't want to spend a lot of $$ on one until I was more compitent with my skills. I really couldn't tell a differnce with quality until I got into the over $150.00 range. After using it for several months I find I like this scope better than the more expensive Littmanns. I would recomend testing several out to find your personal fit though, if you are able.
Good for the price, but not the best. October 28, 2007 Mary T. Bain (Southern Illinois) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I've had my Lightweight for a little over a year. I've found that with this scope, it's harder to hear apical pulses in women or overweight men with a lot of adipose breast tissue. It's good for blood pressure and very basic assessment, but if you're wanting a quality stethoscope, get a Littman Cardiology III. Cardiology III's are quite a bit more expensive, but it's a worthy investment for something you'll use over and over again throughout your nursing career.
love this stethoscope March 14, 2007 Jennifer Benna (dffgfg) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
This Stethoscope is great. You can hear really good, even with the patient moving. It doesn't hurt my ears, like other stethoscopes do. I would definitely recommend it to other nurses. The shape is nice to, it fits well in the anticubital space. You will love this!!!

Nice light weight. Doesn't pull on my neck (where I hang it while not using).
