This is a good solid drive that has fulfilled the promises of the manufacturer for 6 months now. It is very quiet and runs cool. It connects effortslessly to my Apple iMac G5 and is bootable on my Power Mac G4 Digital Audio. I will be buying another one.

VERY QUIET , COOL AND FAST. BUILT FOR A LOOK SOLID
HAVING FIREWIRE AND USB-2 OPTIONS ARE GREAT.
THE SOFTWARE CAN DO BACK-UP BUT NO RECOVERY. NORTON,S GHOST WORKS WELL WITH THE DRIVE. THE PAIR ARE OUTSTANDING.

I bought this drive not even a year ago, and it's already dead. Yes, it worked very nicely, as the other reviewers describe...but the fact that it failed so quickly negates what I liked about it. Nice features don't matter if they don't last.
No way am I buying this brand again.

a snap to set up and use. will buy another acomdata when the need arises. firewire transfer is blazing fast. no configuring or installing any software. solid construction and takes up very little real estate on my desk. thanks
