Great product. Much more versatile that the standard Sony supplied cable. You will need RCA cables was well as this adapter but the benefit is you can use whatever length cables you need for your setup. VERY useful if your monitor and sound system are in different places. Video and sound quality just as good as the regular adapter (unless you buy unshielded cables). Has Video/Left/Right RCA ports as well as another AV Multi Out so you can chain multiple adaptors (or the Sony supplied cable at the end of a chain) together to send picture to multiple monitors or audio to multiple sound systems. I've only tried multiple monitors but the video signal was as good as when I used only one monitor or with the original Sony cable. Very glad I bought a few of these.
