not what i thought December 26, 2003 Maril (USA) 18 out of 39 found this review helpful
got this for christmas. it is not as good as i thought it would be in helping to solve crossword puzzles. Since I don't play Scrabble, guess it might help those with words but finding an answer to, "What is the name of Zeus's wife?" is what I thought it would do. Guess I should read more of the description before I purchased it. It is also NOT a dictionary. maril

This unit is larger than the previous unit. Not as easy to hold but easier to see. It uses regular batteries and is less expensive to maintain. Hope it lasts as long as the last one.

In response to marilyn..... I mean come on, did you honestly expect that little computer to be able to answer every possible question that could ever come up in a crossword puzzle? I haven't purchased one, but i'm very sure it does exactly what it has stated it does.

My wife is a crossword nut who doesn't do well with Saturday and Sunday's New York Times crossword puzzles. I think the Times puzzles gets crappier as the week progresses with clues having as little to do with the solution as fast food has anything to do with proper nutrition or as the 'Republican' noise machine has anything to do with integrity and honesty. She likes them nonetheless and it does give me more free time as the week develops while she clamors through her various aids (cheat devices) to uncover a word that is and remains clueless. Lazy or incompetent puzzle producers get by through teaching puzzlers code words that link other more meaningful words as answers that make folks feel smarter once they master the code. She loves the 206 and says it "Kicks butt" ... thanks

This product is perfect for anagram type puzzles. This is the second one I bought. I wore the first one out using it for over three years. This also was bigger and easier to read. Easy to use and carry almost impossible to put down once you try it out, you'll be wondering how you managed or how many puzzles you skipped without it. It uses AAA batteries not included.
