Says What it Does; Does What it Says. October 1, 2007 Jesse C. Shepherd (Washington, DC) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love this little rascal. I live in a three level apartment in downtown Washington, DC. So, there are lots of wireless devices around, creating plenty of interference, but you'd never know it from this little remote. Here's how I use it: I have music playing throughout my place and no matter where I am, (downstairs, upstairs, on the balcony), I can control the music using this tiny remote. My music is played through iTunes, so all you've got to do is set the remote receiver's switch to "iTunes", plug it into a USB port, and make sure that iTunes is open on your desktop. That's it. Press the buttons and you're good to go. I have a PC, so I can't vouch for its performance with a Mac, though I would be surprised if it didn't work just as seamlessly. If you like to entertain, just wait `till you reach into your pocket and change the music without taking the remote out of you pocket. Folks don't immediately notice that you're changing the music, only that the music is always good. Then, someone will say, "Hey, are you doing that? Awesome!"
Great music throughout the house! February 11, 2007 William B. Drendel (Saint Louis, MO) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought one of these RF remotes primarily to control iTunes on my downstairs computer from upstairs in my bedroom, where I enjoy listening to music piped in from my downstairs stereo receiver (hooked up to my sound card output on the computer). It transmits right through the floor and various walls and works great! I love it! I also use it at parties now to control the music volume in all rooms of the house. A terrific and very affordable gadget. I'm really getting my money's worth out of it!
