Amazon Product Description Identical to the Logitech Optical Mouse Black but finished in a white-on-white paint scheme rather than black-on-black, the sleek, comfortably small Logitech Optical Mouse is one of the least expensive name brand optical mice in the marketplace. Featuring optical tracking technology, which monitors movement via a tiny light-emitting diode in lieu of a traditional rolling ball, it is more precise and requires far less cleaning than a conventional ball mouse. Moreover, you can use it on practically any flat surface aside from clear glass, thus negating the need for a mouse pad. The unit sports three buttons and a handy scroll wheel for quickly navigating through documents or web pages. It is compatible with IBM or Macintosh desktops and notebooks, and does not require installation software. The Logitech Optical Mouse is packaged with a USB to PS/2 adapter to ensure compatibility.
Product Description The Logitech Optical Mouse offers world-class optical technology for precise, maintenance-free tracking. Unlikemechancial scroll wheels, you'll have incredible accuracy, more precision and an improved overall feel while you work. The comfortable design feels great in either hand, and setup couldn't be easier -- all you need to do is plug it in!

Much better than a mouse with a ball December 31, 2005 Paul Wake (Utah) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
There are mice out there that apparently have more precise movement, and that have a tiltable scroll wheel. But I just wanted to replace a mouse that had a ball that constantly gathered dust and had to be cleaned every few weeks just so it would work at all. This mouse seems to do the job well, and doesn't have anything to get gummed up.
Good, solid mouse ...... March 12, 2007 Blaniac (Cortland, OH) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful

Good mouse for value November 9, 2006 J. Kruse 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought it as a work mouse and it has not failed me yet. It does all it needs to without issues. Easy to install.
This mouse is perfect August 18, 2006 Samuel Sonne (Seattle, WA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Logitech has created an extremely simple, effective mouse that never gets old. I've owned the blue version of this model for several years now and it hasn't shown any signs of wear. The combination of optical tracking and USB means that there is little that can go wrong with this mouse. It is large enough to be gripped but not so large as to be clunky like some 'ergonomic' mice. It can be used with both a full-hand grip and with a fingertip grip. The scroll wheel is easy to operate and doesn't get triggered accidentally. The only slight difficulty I have with using this mouse is that clicking the middle button requires that you keep the wheel still (since they're integrated), but it's not hard with a few hours' use. Perfect!
Great mouse June 7, 2007 Daniel Gardner (Austin, TX United States) Attractive, comfortable, reliable, and easy to use (just plug and play). It's my favorite mouse. I don't like too many bells and whistles, I just like a reliable mouse with a scroll wheel. I tried the microsoft, but I didn't like the feel of the scroll wheel nearly as much, and it scrolled too fast, even on the slowest setting. This one scrolls more slowly and is easier to control.
