Best and down to earth available in this price range February 17, 2006 Jon T. Stokkeland (Salamanca, NY) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The only reason I dont give 5 stars is the lack of models without William Gates Keys, no choice of color, USB hub is only 2-port. I was looking for a basic KB with USB hub usable for gaming, and I found it in this one, it was betweem thisone and a $150 keyboard, I tried this one first and after removing the left side Windows button I am very happy with it. It is a step up from the cheapest Key Tronic, nice touch, good warranty, good weight, good key placement and accuracy, built in USB hub, no nik-nak buttons and other bull.
Some Keyboards are More Useful than Others February 19, 2008 C. R. Doughty I like the USB keyboard with Hub. We all know that computer cables have much in common with coathangers in a dark closet - you look aside and they magically end up in snarls. This keyboard needs only one cable to the processor. You connect your mouse to the keyboard hub - its cable thus stays on the desk where it is useful. The second hub port is a convenient socket for a flash drive - the classroom substitute for a floppy disk. The keyboard is right where you want to see a student's flash drive when assuring that his typing project is safely stored. Gone is the need to reach into the mare's nest of cables under the desk and connect the flash drive to the correct machine.
Unfettered - good April 6, 2008 Gary Heller (Seatte, WA United States) This keyboard is a simple, robust, functional USB keyboard. Its big enough to for people with large hands, but a small form factor so it doesn't consume a lot of desk real estate. It works well for about 2-3 years and then they keys begin to stick. I've had three of these keyboards and I just purchased another. They don't fare well in the dishwasher ;-( I think the USB ports are 1.x not 2.x so they're not that fast.
Keytronic-tops July 24, 2008 T. Makenna (Crossville, TN) Keytronics has always made great keyboards, particularly for those of us getting along in age. They are large, USB friendly, just enough pressure on touch to not skip around, and easy to read. Love them. This is like my 20th keyboard. I go through a lot since I work on them 8 hours a day 7 days a week. Even attach one to my laptop. Can't praise them enough.
