This Panasonic would make Maw Bell proud! May 1, 2008 Apostle Tom (Wisconsin) 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
I just bought a new GE 5.8 phone system with a base unit and two extensions. One of these was to sit on my desk near my computer. When I tried to use it there, my computer's wireless signal interfered. I saw that this Panasonic KX-TG9361B phone was designed to work in such instances. I have used this phone at my desk now for 2 weeks. It works wonderfully! The clarity is awesome. I use a speaker phone a lot while working at my computer. The speaker phone included in the handset works better than I had hoped. Those I've talked with say it doesn't sound like a speaker phone. What more could I ask? The other thing I really like about this phone is the way it feels like, quality. The phone is advertised as being heavier duty than most phones. When you hold it, it feels real solid. The feature controls are where you would want them and are easy to work with. If I had it to do all over again, I would have never bought the GE and instead got this one with extra extensions. Great job, Panasonic!
So happy with this!!! May 8, 2008 Not My Real Name (San Diego CA) 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
As usual, I did a lot of research before I bought this phone. This model is so new that I couldn't even find it anywhere locally once I'd decided on it (and we are electronics-heavy in this city). I'd never done this before, but it seemed so perfect that I decided to order it sight-unseen from Amazon. Luckily, the risk paid off - I'm completely thrilled with it. It's everything I wanted - simple to set-up, feels substantial in your hand, easy to use. Best phone I've ever had. Its one drawback for me is that it doesn't seem to have a ringer shut-off button (you can set it not to ring during the same period every day - night-time I would suppose for most folks - but to me it would just be easier if I could turn something off and on than to program it for that function.) Regardless, it's a real winner. And the new DECT 6.0 technology kicks butt.
Was expecting more... July 2, 2008 Link Wray (Indianapolis, IN) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This range, clarity, and volume of this phone were superlative, but amazingly I had to return this after one week of using it. The LCD display went bad and developed lines at the bottom, making menu selections unreadable. For a phone that is touted as being shock and water resistant, I was shocked that this happened without it even being dropped one time. The handset is a lot bigger and bulkier than my last two Panasonic phones, although this may be by design to make it more impact resistant. I saw some other Panasonic DECT phones that have a much sexier handset, and wonder if they are as fragile as this one turned out to be. The base is a very simple and unobtrusive design, which I liked very much. I am very brand loyal and felt that Panasonic made the best phones for the price, and perhaps I just received a lemon, but I am going to try a different brand this time. If you are on the fence about DECT technology and thought it was a gimmick, try the phones and hear the difference. They do sound much clearer (even on speaker phone which is excellent on this model)and have far less interference issues than my older 5.8 ghz phone which didn't get along well with my wireless router. The range is super impressive as well.
Much better June 13, 2008 C. M. Spencer 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We had a GE Cordless that had so much static it was horrible. We originally thought we needed new wiring in the room where the phone was located. My son told me to order the Panasonic which has a much better sound and easier to use and thankfully, it was the phone and not the wiring!! Save us a lot of money. The old one is in the garbage.
panasonic dect cordless June 15, 2008 Joyce Lichtenfels 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have 3 panasonic cordless phones and I like this one so much that I intend to buy the add ons to it. There is no static and it can be used next to the computer or any other appliance.
