Too expensive, not enough prints December 10, 2005 DC reviewer (Washington, DC) 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
This printer/toner is fine, but for the price of the toner, you don't get nearly enough print jobs to make it very economical. I've had this printer for a little over 2 years, and I'm on my 4th toner. I'm a student, so I definitely do a fair amount of printing at home, but my estimate is that this toner only gives me approximately 1500 pages. And that's with every level of tonersave on. So every 7 or 8 months, I'm dishing out another $80 to get more toner.
Good quality and expensive July 2, 2005 Jerry L. the Bibliophile (California, United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Good quality and easy to install like the other Samsung toner series, but it's a little too expensive! Hope that they would lower the price. I only had one choice because it's the only toner for my printer.
expensive, but .... August 14, 2006 Weba Aranyam (Morrisville, VT United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This toner cartridge is expensive. But, you can buy toner (the black powder) in the secondary market, and refill. The refilling is done by flipping open a round cap on the side. This gives good result upto 3 refillings. On the 4th filling I found problems like a dark line on one side. It looks like the drum gets bad and it picks up extra black powder , here and there, and you get light black blotches.Of course, they say you null the warantee.
This seems a silly thing to review August 24, 2006 Gregory F. Bowden (Palm Springs, CA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
What is there to say? This toner drum fits the printer. It's the only one that does. The printer doesn't work without it. Ergo, you need it if you have the printer. I will say, however, that Amazon had the best price of anywhere I went. That has to count for something!
It's OK November 5, 2007 N. Lapensee 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Simple user report: we get about 1,500 sheets per ml-1710 with text and some graphics. Thats about $0.05 per sheet (at $80 per drum).
