 How to make this case work for you June 12, 2007

While this case is snug (actually, it's form fitting)I figured out a way to be able to plug in the USB cable without removing the T9 from the case (which was a problem mentioned by another reviewer). The idea came from the method shared by still another reviewer where they said that they stretched the case with their fingers so that the case did not press against the buttons. (I also did that and it works. Thanks for the idea and methodology.)Take the USB end of the cable and insert it into the case (with the player removed, of course) from the open end/top of the case. Pull the cable all the way through from the top of the case through the opening in the bottom of the case until the wide end of the cable (i.e. the part that plugs into the T9) reaches the hole in the bottom of the case. It will be too wide to pull through that bottom opening. However, if you take that end of the cable and rotate it several times against the hole/opening in the bottom of the case, thus carefully widening the hole, that hole will eventually become wide enough for the wide end of the cable to slip through it. If done carefully, you will not hurt the case, you will just widen the hole. Now put the T9 back into the case and, voila, if you widened the hole enough, the cable will plug into the player from the bottom of the case allowing you to charge the battery or download additional songs, etc. If the cable does not quite fit, yet, repeat the process above until it does. Between that and the other reviewer's suggestion to keep the case from pressing the buttons, you will have an excellent product to protect your new T9. Hope this helps. I learn a lot from reading tips from other Amazon reviews and wanted to add this, my first review, in the hopes that it might help others, as I've been helped.

I found the samsung T9 to be qa fantastic player and decided I needed a case.
This is pretty much the only one made for it so I purchased...I received it today having visions of going to the gym with my new player on my arm...I put the case on the player. It fits the player really tight...TOO TIGHT. It presses in all the buttons on the side together and it makes the player either constantly turn on and off or makes the player unresponsive to all button presses because all the buttons are pressed at once! You also cant cut out the part of the case that fits over the buttons because it holds the case together! What a piece of s*** this is. Does anyone at Belkin test anything before it goes out the door or are they paying 10 year olds 5 cents an hour overseas to make these ? Absolute useless garbage. I intend to return immediately. Get a clue Belkin.

Since the player is new there are not a lot of options at present and, as nice a player as it is, it doesnt even come with the most rudimentary case. The Belkin case fits securely and I like the magnetic latch. The screen cover is a nice additional feature that saves the screen from any accidently scratching. My complaint is with the armband which is overlarge. At some point it would be nice to see them come in sizes to accomodate everyone. One-size-fits-all never seems to work. I have a normal build and I can wear it though the strap extends nearly to the player, but my girlfriend cant fit it unless the strap comes around and covers the screen. It might be something that can be modified at home. For the price it is a good deal.

I love this product. It holds the player just right. At first it held the player a little tight and pushed some of the buttons like one of the previous reviews says but I figured out a way to fix that. I put my fingers in there and stretched out the fabric a bit. Ever since then it has worked beautifully. I am planning on buying all of the accessories Belkin makes for the T9.

Belkin has done a great job in offering affordable protection for those of us who want to keep the Samsung T9 protected from scratches, etc. The product does fit snug into the case, however, I have not experienced any buttons being pushed inadvertently. One thing I don't care for, is you have to take the unit out of the case to use the USB cable. There is a hole cutout for this purpose, but it does not allow you to connect. I was worried about damaging the connector on either the player or cable. Nonetheless, this is a good product.
