This device is fine for charging an iPod in your car. Every now and then, our iPod turns up in the car juiceless. When that happens, we just pull out this device and plug it in, and within seconds, the iPod comes back to life. It looks and feels like cheap plastic, but it works as advertised, and we have had no problems with it after 6 months of use.

Along with the car charger adapter (which comes with a "roll-up" cord), I also bought the plug-in wall adapter, and the AV cable to watch ipod movies on TVs at the same time, from the same vendor. The whole deal, including shipping was under [...]. I saw a similar package at [...].
I gave it a 4 because the plastic covering appears cheap, and it seems to get warm after charging for a while, but it works great (also applies to the wall charger). For it's price though, I could buy 10 or more of these before I spend as much as the Apple brand.

When using the charger and audio cable at the same time there was interference in the line and the audio had interference in it; sounded like a distant radio station.

I thought this product looked cheap but the reviews were good, so I gave it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised. It works great and actually charges quicker than my laptop and cord do.

This product is great -- it does just what it's supposed to. I bought this to charge my video ipod over the weekend or on road trips. I wanted something simple & inexpensive. This does the trick. It charges the ipod in the car which is exactly what it says it does -- & you can't beat the price -- even with the somewhat outrageous shipping/handling charge. Five stars in my book!
