Not very reliable April 11, 2007 Pitt 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I had to go through five disks in order to write two recovery disks for my PC. At this rate, I might get 20 good disks out of the 50.
Excellent. Works great on a Macbook April 20, 2007 M Shah (Brooklyn, NY USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Other discs have given me trouble on my Macbook but these work well. Though I've not gone through the entire spindle, all the discs burned so far have worked perfectly. I'd highly recommend these discs, especially for the Macbook's drive.
DVD-R for Video/DVD+R for Data January 20, 2008 Suzanne K. I have 2 DVR/DVD-burners that I use to record t.v. shows (like a VCR but records to DVD's). My oldest machine's hard drive is going bad and that has caused it to have a lot of issues with recording to different brands of media. The most reliable DVD-R that I have found is the bright pink HP DVD-R. I have easily used over 1000 of these DVD's (between my computer and DVR/DVD-burners). I use the yellow HP DVD+R for data. Here's a great tip that an IT expert gave me. Use DVD+R for (computer) data and DVD-R for video that you want to play on your DVD player (attached to your t.v.) because the old DVD players can't read the DVD+R format. Also, DVD+R is much more stable for data -- someone sent me some data files on a DVD-R and I couldn't even access them with one of my computers!
DON'T BUY THESE DISCS! February 23, 2008 wlb1315 I'm getting about a one-in-ten failure rate with these discs on a Sony burner. I won't EVER buy them again. WLB.
