Product Description The Wireless-N Gigabit Gaming Router is really four devices in one box. First, there's the Wireless Access Point, which lets you connect to the network without wires. There's also a built-in 4-port full-duplex 10/100/1000 Switch to connect your wired-Ethernet devices together at up to gigabit speeds. The Router function ties it all together and lets your whole network share a high-speed cable or DSL Internet connection. We've also included a Network Optimizer that applies various Quality of Service (QoS) techniques to your network traffic to make sure that time-sensitive applications like online and local network gaming run smoothly. It automatically determines what data is time-sensitive and what isn't, and prioritizes delivery of that data to its destination, ensuring the best-possible performance for the various types of data that go through your network. The Access Point built into the Router uses the very latest wireless networking technology, Wireless-N (draft 802.11n). By overlaying the signals of multiple radios, Wireless-N's "Multiple In, Multiple Out" (MIMO) technology multiplies the effective data rate. Unlike ordinary wireless networking technologies that are confused by signal reflections, MIMO actually uses these reflections to increase the range and reduce "dead spots" in the wireless coverage area. The robust signal travels farther, maintaining wireless connections up to 4 times farther than standard Wireless-G.With Wireless-N, the farther away you are, the more speed advantage you get. It works great with standard Wireless-G and -B equipment, but when both ends of the wireless link are Wireless-N, the router can increase the throughput even more by using twice as much radio band, yielding speeds up to 12 times as fast as standard Wireless-G.

Awesome Product, XBOX Live Open NAT February 28, 2007 M. Malone (Albuquerque, NM) 28 out of 33 found this review helpful
So far this router is very good. I know that it has some bad reviews, but I had to see for myself. As soon as I got it I immediately updated the Firmware. It works great with Vista. I have an Open NAT through XBOX live !!!That's right, OPEN NAT ON XBOX LIVE!!! My VOIP does not have anymore choppy calls. The wireless G strength is just incredible. I am able to get a 54Mbps through 4 concrete walls and then some. This router replaced my WRT54GS ver 6 because of the NAT issue in XBOX live (Moderate NAT). I recommend this product to anyone. I can definitely see this product being XBOX Live certified next quarter. I give it 5 stars because it solved the XBOX live NAT issue and has overall increased my QOS.
Wireless-N technology is so far the best May 14, 2007 House of Woo (California USA) 10 out of 13 found this review helpful
At first I was leary about getting the Linksys Wireless-N router because there were many reviews that said it wasn't working to their expectations. I received the shipment much earlier from Amazon.com and it arrived in great condition. I followed the instructions that were explicitly provided in the package (along with screen shots) and once I hooked it up, I proceeded to go to the Linksys website to download the latest 1.000.3 version of the firmare for the router. Everything works great. I used to have a Netgear RP614 and I haven't been able to get the 10Mbps that my cable company provides (and I'm paying for it too). I got the cable technician to come check out my box and he said that I need to switch over to Linksys because their cable company uses the Cisco servers. In case you didn't know Cisco is the parent company of Linksys so their hardwares are compatible. Now I get about 9.5 Mbps on my Linksys Wireless-N vs. 7.5 on my Netgear. The wireless transmissions are much faster than the Wireless-G and the security features on this router varies on how much security you actually want to implement. [...]
Awesome! w open nat, for ur xbox live sessions May 13, 2007 Samir S. Satam (Medford, MA USA) 8 out of 11 found this review helpful
This was an expensive buy, esp. since i already had a pre-n router from belkin (which worked great). but i wanted to separate my media center/xbox traffic, from my normal (internet) traffic. So i bought the wrt330n. I now daisy chain the wrt and my belkin pre-n, and run computers and the xbox/medai center on separate routers. The wrt has settings that prioritize media center traffic. It can also prioritize voip traffic (for all u skype users), which is great!. Havent had any problems, yet.
THE BEST WIFI MONEY CAN BUY!!! April 4, 2007 Peter Thompson 7 out of 9 found this review helpful
This is truly the best WIFI you can get on the market right now. Its lightning fast its 4 machines put into 1. Most importantly I've had the best gaming experience ever. Now i can host games on Xbox live without lagging the rest of my teammates and that is no fun. The Linksys WRT330N Wireless-N Gigabit Gaming Router is well worth its money and a great investment. I recommend it highly to anyone that needs a great WIFI for whatever reason!
3 stars only for potential... February 20, 2007 Joseph A. Diandrea (NY) 6 out of 10 found this review helpful
This potentially could be the best router on the market, especially for gamers. With that said it has too many bugs right now and mine is constantly down. It was released too soon by Linksys. If you are considering this router, stick it out with your old one untill they release the firmware that resolves the issues it is having.
