Sharp 19" LCD TV with DVD Player October 6, 2007 Denise L. Lindsay (Klamath Falls, Oregon USA) 28 out of 29 found this review helpful
I purchased this product and had it shipped to my home in Oregon. There was no delay. This TV is outstanding. Picture perfect. Having the built-in DVD player is a big space saver. I highly recommend this one.
So glad we switched from the Toshiba . . . November 21, 2007 Joyce D. Davidson (New York, NY USA) 24 out of 24 found this review helpful
We first purchased the Toshiba 19" combo because the reviews seemed to be better, but we had trouble with the component inputs and felt the picture was washed out. Exchanged it for an identical Toshiba and had the same problem. Two different cable guys diagnosed the component input issue, and both agreed the picture wasn't as good as it ought to be. So we returned it and got this Sharp and couldn't be happier. Much sharper, better contrast. Our big tv is a Sharp Aquos and we're really happy with that as well. Not crazy about the high gloss cabinet -- too much glare and hard to keep clean -- but we have no complaints otherwise.

Sharp makes excellent and reliable televisions. The picture quality is absolutely breathtaking, and the sound is pretty good as well. My TV has a clock attached to it, and it holds onto the bottom of the TV by a magnet attached to the bottom of the clock. That's pretty cool. I think there's an alarm on the clock as well. I'm amazed how clear and colorful the picture is. I really am. There's also a "Freeze" button which allows you to pause the screen. I experimented with this during a college football game and it really works. I'm an old school guy who grew up with older TVs in a generation with no HDTV or whatever, so this is all brand new to me. I can't complain with this great Sharp TV. It's just what my kitchen needed.

PRO's....I installed this item with ease in my bedroom and it is the perfect size for my space. The presented picture is perfect with a little menu tuning and menu options are extensive but easy to program. The dvd is worked beautifully on my test, but I've not watched a whole movie as of yet. The price on Amazon was the lowest I found anywhere, saving a total of $70 when compared to Best Buy. Con's.....Remote layout is not functional, and audio is okay for a small lcd but lacks bass which takes away from the perfect picture. Manual buttons are located on top of monitor which losses functionality if hang this item. Tech. NOTE: Channel changing is slow when comparing to a picture tube, but is the normal changing time for an lcd. Inputs are grouped together and has a cover plate, which makes you route cables downward, but are seperated from the power cord, which is located on the opposite side of this monitor.

This TV is awesome. It is so easy to use and the built-in DVD player is well worth the price. I am VERY satisfied with this purchase, the price, and the delivery time was very prompt.
