Quite possibly the WORST documentation with a product ever February 18, 2007 Total PC David 4 out of 8 found this review helpful
The printer itself is decent. Not the greatest, but you get what you pay for, but the documentation from Xerox that comes with this product is HORRIBLE. Completely and TOTALLY useless. Xerox should be ashamed of themselves. It's not for beginners to set it up on a network. I suggest laying aside a lot of time for installation
A waste of time August 15, 2007 Sky1 (denver, co USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Right out of the box, the pages I printed had black markings splashed along both edges of the paper. I thought that some toner had contaminated the paper. On closer inspection of the printout it became apparent that what I was looking at were actual laser dots. There was a kind of printer static of random dots printed on each page. I printed out a printer status page, bypassing my computer entirely. Same problem. I printed out a completely blank page from a word processing program: the both edges of the page were covered with random dots. After about a week the printer stopped functioning entirely. I returned the 6110 and thought that it was a fluke. So I ordered another. The new one arrived today. Same problem, only even worse! The pages I printed had black markings everywhere. This time I called Xerox customer service, thinking they must have a fix for this. The tech had never heard this problem before. He had me remove and replace the imaging drum. We looked for contamination. We printed from different programs. Each time the page printed nicely but with a background of black dots and squiggles over the entire page. Conclusion: stay away from this printer and although customer service was very nice, I'd just stay as far away from Xerox as possible.
