Very impressive. Big sound from a small system November 18, 2006 Joey E. Trude (Yountville, CA United States) 13 out of 14 found this review helpful
I was uncertain at first if the quality of sound from this small system would do the XM radio justice. I was very impressed after I hooked up the system and heard the quality sound radiate from the Altec system. I decided on Altec due to its size (bigger Boomboxes are available but space hogs). Its stylish design fits nicely on my bookshelf and it's clean design goes well with any decor. One thing purchasers need to be aware of is that the antenna needs to be placed close..really close, to a window to receive the satellite signal. I have'nt found anything negative to say about this system, well done Altec Lansing. I'm giving it 4 stars simply for the fact I would have liked to seen more user controls on the system.
neat package July 11, 2007 PenMangler (alabama, US of A) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
There is a lot of quality sound that comes from this little box. I use it in my woodshop and can hear crystal clear all over the basement. So far it's put up with the dust without a blink. One thing though, you will have to get close to or actually outside with the antenna. It doesn't pick up well inside a house. Once that's settled, it's a fine and convenient product that does what it is advertised to do. BTW, Amazon had it cheaper than anyone else at the time.
Nice Sound January 15, 2007 K. Davenport (Charlotte, NC) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought this based on the prior review and have been very pleased with the sound. It's not a Bose by any means, but I have a sm apt and the sound is very good. I also agree it looks better than a boombox would be. For those who are considering satellite radio and a way to bring it into the home, this is a good option.
Great For The Money July 4, 2007 B. Payne 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have had this for a few months and I have no complaints. The sound is great and as long as you have a good path to southern sky. Quality is excellent.
Great little speaker system! January 9, 2007 E. Young (Queens, NY) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
My husband bought me an XM subscription and a Roady for my birthday. I purchased the Altec Lansing XM3120 Speaker System so that I could use the Roady in the kitchen. It is a wonderful product for the price - good sound, even with the volume cranked up. The antenna works very well to bring the XM stations in clearly. An added bonus is the nice compact size that is good for small spaces. I highly recommend it!
