Scott makes a great rapid-dissolving toilet tissue: even with its new "technology" I still get longer use out of a roll than when I tried other brands such as Charmin. The roll is somewhat thick but it's easy to store in the plastic bag it comes in or you can unpack the twenty rolls and store them in various bathrooms or closets around your home.
Sure, this bath tissue isn't going to be the softest you'll ever find--but it does a great job of what you want it to do. Moreover, this toilet tissue is easy on your toilet pipes and any septic tank; and I've never had a clog. Don't use too much or you WILL get a clogged toilet--but you'll be able to use it well intuitively.
Naturally toilet paper never "goes stale" or "wears out." If you can catch a sale on this item and you like it, stock up!
The only real drawback which turns some people off is that the actual toilet paper itself is not as soft as some other brands--like Charmin. This is totally a matter of personal preference. I have used both and both get the job done. However, I noticed that Charmin and similar ultra soft brands seemed to go faster than any type of Scott bath tissue did. Scott is not too rough for me; but I will take off one star because of this issue to make this a four star review.
Overall, Scott rapid-dissolving toilet tissue is well worth a try, especially when you get it on sale. Try some today--I hope you are satisfied with it!

I consider myself a bit of a paper products connoisseur, so I was really excited to get a chance to check out the RD (Rapid-Dissolving) technology that Scott has developed. They've been testing it in Japan for a couple years now and I was sadly unable to find anyone to import it some for testing purposes. I guess the FDA hadn't approved it yet or something.
In any case, I finally ordered some from Amazon and let me tell you: This is the paper you want to be cleaning yourself with. It's soft, it's unscented (a must as far as I'm concerned. Too many people have allergy problems with scented products), and it's durable enough to stand up to the harshest messes.
Another bonus: RD technology is likely to be easier on septic tanks.

Maybe I'm biased due to not having plumbing that's very prone to clogging; maybe I'm also somewhat biased due to the fact that I also often use toilet paper as facial tissue in place of Kleenexes (where higher durability might be desired).
The trade-off of the rapid-dissolving feature seemingly is that the paper is REALLY thin...and sometimes it might dissolve before you'd like it to. So, I found myself going through the rolls pretty quickly, probably having been conditioned to use a lot at a time in compensation.
It works, though, especially once you get used to it.

This toilet paper will never feel like the cozy stuff that blocks the toilet on a regular basis, but it is a product that feels somewhat better than varieties you find in many public toilets. I am willing to compromise a tiny bit of plush, and save all the hours spent attached to toilet plungers. I do concern myself with any chemicals that are placed into a product that makes it "rapid-dissolve", and will in time, try an environmentaly friendly brand. A great option for family with kids who know no limits for toilet paper usage, and ignore the presence of a plunger.

I am in a wheelchair. Ordering this product online has helped me a great deal. Shopping is hard for me. I'm glad Amazon started offering this service. Now I can shop for the bulky things and not have to cart them home on the back of my wheelchair.
