These towels are thin and rough, and they do not tear easily. Each roll is small, which means we were always running out. They are also not individually packaged (liable to get dusty while in storage). Kirkland brand paper towels are much better and a good value.

Scott paper towels are remarkably strong and durable. Just one sheet can more than soak up a spill; and even if the spill is large you almost certainly won't need to use more than two or three sheets at the very most.
Unfortunately, these paper towels by Scott are nowhere near as soft as other brands of paper towels despite all their durability and strength. I suppose that you could still use Scott paper towels as heavy duty tissues; but they may feel just too rough for that. These paper towels by Scott can serve, however, as dinner napkins if company comes on short notice--just fold them very neatly into triangles. Nobody will mind.
Scott paper towels can be used to dry off pots, pans, dishes and cups after they've been scrubbed. Scott paper towels can be used to clean windows with an appropriate window cleaner but they may leave streaks more often than a softer paper towel.
I would not recommend placing these in hot ovens, however--they could ignite.
Overall, Scott paper towels are very good but I only buy them when the supermarket is out of softer paper towels. However, Scott paper towels are still very useful for numerous uses that go well beyond absorbing spills.

These paper towels don't rip evenly. They never tare off correctly. They are very thin compared to what I am used to and are not very soft. They are cheap and I guess you get what you pay for

I just had my septic tank cleaned. The man that did it asked what kind of toilet paper we used and before I could answer he told me, Scott! He recommends we only use Angel Soft as it will truly discintgrate in the tank whereas most of the well known brands don't break down enough.
