Great Snack! Guilt Free... June 6, 2007 VicRob (No. California) 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
Just tried these apple chips for the first time and really enjoy them. The 2.6 oz bag is much larger than I expected - way too large to drop in the kids' lunchbox. You probably want the next size down for lunch packs. These are made with the entire apple (skin, stems, core and all) and have been thinly sliced as you would potato chips. I found a couple of pieces with stems attached, a few more with the apple core on one side, but 99% of the apples in the bag were perfectly fine (and, I guess I could have eaten the pieces with the apple core and stem without harm - it's just apple). Very good flavor for dried fruit. I was actually able to discern a few different intensities of flavors (the bag indicates there are four apples in every bag). Plus, the entire bag only has 174 calories for 6 servings. The only ingredient is organic apples so zero fat. If you prefer snacks that are crispy, crunchy or chewy - and healthy - you'll probably like these. I wasn't a fan of dried fruit until today... I'm back to purchase another box. Only rated 4 stars because there are lots of small pieces in the bag. The bag of apples you see in the photo on Amazon is a bit misleading - only 50% of the apples are of that large size - the rest are much smaller chips. Also, had the manufacturer cored these apples before slicing, I would have rated a 5.

Measure up very well to the manufacturer claims - it's chewy, crunchy and sweet... there're four apples in a pack and it lasts me less than an hour - if my wife wouldn't stop me - I would go through 5 packs a day... and my argument that it's healthy still doesn't seem to help me...
Perfect Snack for Grazers August 24, 2007 Marcy (Florida, USA) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I was hesitant when I tried these, but I was more than pleasantly surprised. The apples are delicious and the bags are very generous (but far too big for a snack for one child). My kids BEG for these in their lunches (I put them into smaller serving portions for them in their lunches) and I keep a stash at the office. If you are a grazer, then you can graze on these all morning or afternoon long without guilt -- the entire package (6 servings) has 174 calories and 7 grams of fiber. (Just be warned about the fiber if you plan on eating the whole package.)
healthy, good tasting, premium product July 28, 2007 tim747 (Glenview, IL USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I don't know what sort of quality I was expecting when I purchased this 24 pack for under $30. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened up a pack to find a premium quality dried apple product. The apple chips don't have any sugar added so they are healthy. The quality of the fruit is pretty high. This is a good tasting healthy snack. The bags are pretty big as well. Great for sharing or can last for at least two snacks.
Reall Tasty and Good for You August 8, 2007 James W. Gerber (Voorhees, NJ USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I'm not an organic food freak but I appreciate that this snack is not loaded with chemicals, sugars etc. It is just apples without any added flavoring, preservatives, or chemicals. All of this would not mean much if it tasted like typical health food: you know, cardboard! No, it is a tasty snack.
