Paper products are so expensive now. I bought one roll of Brawny and a couple rolls of Cottonelle with Aloe Vera.
I think it's stronger than Charmin.
I used to buy Scott with the 1,000 sheets, but while it was economical, it did not make me feel pampered in a cushiony,luxurious softness. It reminds me of my mom's rabbit fur jacket that I used to love petting and rubbing on my face(a long time ago!)I'm way over that now.
This tissue is the creme de la creme of toilet papers. I hate calling it "paper" I'd rather call it toilet smoothies.
Everyone who tries ultra soft cottonelle with the new Aloe addition will become infatuated with it.
I recommend it highly and if I have to pinch pennies on other things, that's alright,but no one can take my cottonelle away from me.

Cottonelle bath tissue with aloe and Vitamin E is very soft and this counts when you need to use a lot of it. The aloe and Vitamin E help to soften the bath tissue. Many people correctly note that it is easier on your skin than other brands of bath tissue like Scott.
On the bright side, Cottonelle never "goes stale;" if you like this product, stock up on it! The rolls are easy to store in any cabinet either as they come packaged or in individual rolls. In addition, the packaging clearly states that this bath tissue is safe for both septic and sewer systems--great!
However, I did observe some things. First off, even though this is advertised as being a "double roll," the roll has fewer sheets, so it lasts much less time than a product like Scott would. Second, Cottonelle just doesn't seem to work as well as it should. I wind up using more of it faster than I ever would have if I had chosen another brand. This disappoints me.
The product is indeed white but I think it has a slight scent to it. If you are allergic to scents or perfumes I would try another version of Cottonelle or another brand of bath tissue altogether.
All in all, if you must have soft bath tissue, Cottonelle is a great choice. If you want something that's a little more value oriented and still substantial, I strongly suggest another brand like Scott two ply bath tissue. It's a matter of personal preference so I give this product four stars even though I thought there was a drawback or two.
If you do choose Cottonelle, use it in good health!

Very soft yet thick and strong. Your finger doesn't poke through when you wipe like it does with Charmins.

I am a big fan of the Cottonelle double roll so I thought I would give these a try. They are nice and soft, which is why I am giving it 3 stars, but it's wound very loosely on the roll and doesn't last nearly as long as it should.

We are so disappointed; they have changed the "formula" and this product which was SO preferred in our family is now far less soft. It may be a bit stronger (but it was fine before), but we do NOT like the new ones nearly as well. We had loved the "with Aloe" version!
