We use them for everything, cleaning the keyboard, the babies nose and my ears and they're great. The price is right and I'd buy them again online.

Q Tips are a fantastic buy, and can be used for many different jobs. You can use them for cleaning stray smudges of make-up, getting dust out of small spaces, etc. The best use for Q Tips, however, is sticking them in your ears to clean out the wax. There have been reports that you shouldn't stick anything "bigger than your elbow" inside your ear because there's a possibility of causing permanent damage. They suggest using drops when the wax build-up becomes too great. I think that's a load of hogwash. Sometimes you need a product such as this to slip into your ears and rub away all the gunk that gathers in there. A good technique is to twist the Q Tip between your thumb and forefinger while moving it in a circular motion. This helps to get out the maximum amount of wax. There's a real sense of accomplishment when you examine the results of your cleaning and feel the nice, smooth inside of your freshly-scrubbed ears. Buy them now!

These swabs were great in caring for all of my newborns' umbilical cords, just as described. The only problem is that they tend to really dry out the cord, so you have to moisten it beforehand. I just wish there were more of them, because I ran out.
