Change in price upward brings my rating downward September 25, 2006 Richard Gordon (Fish Creek, WI USA) 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
This product was a great deal a couple months ago when it cost just over $12.00 for a four pack with free shipping. Now it's over 16.00 and now I get them cheaper even at the more expensive stores. All-Bran itself is an excellent product with a cup at only 110 calories...filling for those on diets and I have found it works as well as Zetia -- a cholesterol lowering drug that works on a similar principle.
Don't try eating it plain August 14, 2006 E. Blake (Bronx, NY United States) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I buy All Bran Extra Fiber all the time. I never just put it in a bowl, pour milk over it and eat it. It definitely needs fruit, fresh is better. What I usually do is have one serving of this mixed with one serving of another, sweeter cereal. All Bran Extra Fiber is also a great mix-in for yogurt or cottage cheese, instead of fatty, sugary granola. 4 stars for the fiber and nutrition. For taste, add your own!
Healthy, Tastes Awful July 26, 2006 MDC (Cambridge, MA USA) 6 out of 8 found this review helpful
This cereal is very healthy. Each 1/2 cup serving contains only 50 calories, and over half the recommended daily value of dietary fiber. Unfortunately, it's by far the worst tasting cereal I've ever encountered. Fiber 1, which is very similar nutritionally (and in appearance) tastes *much* better, so Kellogg's really has no excuse here. This cereal also becomes soggy immediately upon adding milk, unlike many cereals that stay crisp long enough to eat. This gets a second star for the health value, but the taste ruins it. Try another high-fiber cereal.
Get your fiber... September 2, 2006 S. Giddens (Palm Beach, FL) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Great product to ensure that you get your fiber. However, the price offered here is not that much savings from the grocery store.
High Fructose Corn Syrup February 3, 2008 J. Fay (Truckee, CA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
A product that purports to be healthy should not contain the ingredients on the label. Kellogg's got greedy, profits come before health. I recommend looking at products from the Kashi brand.
