This was being demonstrated at Wal-Mart and I purchased one recently. I asked the demonstrator if it picked up pet hairs. She said to buy it and try it and if I didn't like it, to bring it back. It mostly just pushed the dog hair across the floor instead of picking it up. I have an older, single-brush Bissell that does a better job than this gadget, but I'm thinking about trying one of the newer ones that I see high ratings for here at Amazon. I have this product and it works really well for picking up sand, dirt, food, etc. from hard floors. It will pick up sticky rice from the floor! I love it and use this instead of a broom.
