Delicious and not too unhealthy November 6, 2007 James W. Picht (Louisiana, USA) 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
This cereal is delicious. Really. My wife and I have gone through a dozen boxes in as many weeks. The boxes aren't huge, but the point is we haven't gotten tired of the stuff. It has a nice crunch, great flavor. It has too much sugar, a common failing of granola-type cereals, and I wouldn't recommend that much simple sugar (five grams from "evaporated cane juice") in the morning for people who are trying to lose weight. On the other hand it has plenty of fibre, and did I mention that it tastes really good? This cereal costs $4.29 at our local supermarket, so we're saving quite a bit on Amazon. Because it's granola, it holds up very well to shipping - when a box gets badly shaken or a bit crushed, the cereal is just fine. And Amazon packs it well enough that we've had only one or two slightly crushed boxes. If you have to leave the house right after eating this and don't brush your teeth, I'd strongly recommend taking a toothpick with you. There will be little seeds lodged in every gap in your teeth big enough to house them, and they'll surely drive you insane if you don't have the toothpick.
quite delish! January 2, 2007 Mom 2 Two (Grand Rapids, MI USA) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
I don't know how good it is for you, with a form of sweetener being the second ingredient. The flax seeds also appear to be whole, which doesn't do you a bit of good (they need to be ground). However, this cereal is quite tasty! I eat it in plain yogurt and it adds just the right amount of sweetness and crunch.
Pretty good but that's it November 10, 2006 D. Lynn (Rockville MD USA) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
You might be aware that Consumer Reports gave this cereal its highest rating in a recent review of granola. That's why I bought it, and it was good, but certainly not as good as I'd hoped based on the "excellent" rating from CR. I still prefer Quaker 100% Natural or the Safeway store brand, but I'd add that when I mixed a box of Nature's Path with a box of Quaker, it improved both. The price on Amazon is very competitive, but the amount of granola in the box is less than you might expect (true for most Nature's Path cereals).
Great tasting granola! February 15, 2007 Darlene (Annville, KY USA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This is probably one of the best granolas I've tasted. What I like most about it is the texture. Too many granolas just about break your teeth when you eat them - but this one has a firm (ie. not mushy) but pliable texture. The next thing I enjoyed about this cereal is the taste - not too sweet nor too bland - just a perfect balance. Too often sweetened cereals are much too sweet - or, on the flip side, the "healthy" cereals are too bland. Finally - this cereal is just plain healthy!! What a great combo - Flax and Pumkin seeds!! We ate up this cereal in record time and are ordering more today!!
The best granola, nay, the best cereal... ever. January 9, 2007 The. (Florida) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I first tried this granola when they had it at Costco, and since then, I was hooked. I was never a huge fan of granola to begin with. I usually liked the taste, but a lot of granolas were very hard and crunchy, even when eaten with milk. A lot of them were also either too sweet or not sweet enough. So when I tried this granola, it immediately blew away all my preconcieved notions involving granola. This granola is what granola should be: not too sweet and easily softened in milk. The flavor is awesome. I have since tried most of the other Nature's Path granola flavors and they are all pretty good as well, but I think I still like this one the best. Also, this one has omega-3 in it, which is good for you. Anyway, this is definitely my favorite cereal, and it must be if I'm going to the length of ordering it on the internet! I just ordered my second 6-pack and I don't think I'm getting tired of it anytime soon.
