| Customer Reviews:
Disappointing January 8, 2007 ATL I hoped that Melissa's Dill Weed would be more aromatic and flavorful than typical grocery store dried dill. Unfortunately, it is no better, no worse.
So happy I found this May 7, 2007 Letta Meinen (Salado, Texas USA) I love to use Dill Weed in many of my recipes and found it was hard to find and expensive since I moved to Texas. Now with this dozen package of dill weed I will make some great recipes for a long time to come. I place a package of this dill weed in a shaker so I always have it handy to add spice to most any dish I am making. I have even make bagette bread and seasoned it with dill weed and it came out excellent. It is especially good for my dip using cream cheese, sour creak, mayonnaise plus chopped vegetables and seasoning and of course the dill weed. Add extra spark to this dip. Great buy. Letta Meinen
Caused a plague in my home! August 13, 2007 James Walters The dried dill was in packages with small holes punched in them inside a case that is partly open to outside air. I am guessing it was invaded by common garden beetles while sitting inside a warehouse before shipping to me. When I opened a package I noticed it contained many objects that looked like sesame seeds, and I stupidly thought it must be seeds included with the dill. Some weeks later the dormant "seeds" finished their growth into full common garden beetles and filled the inside of my apartment. They were determined to congregate on cotton fabric in my home, and it was rather disturbing and annoying trying to remove the several dozen tiny flying beetles that had left the case of dill before I isolated it (most were still stuck in the packages). What is more disturbing is that I ate a number of them while they were still dormant and I still thought they were seeds. Heh, good source of protein, I guess ;)
