I make fruit "cakes" with dried fruit, almonds and SESAME SEEDS which have become harder and harder to find, in bulk. I recently ordered Bob's Red Mill whole raw sesame seeds because they were the best price and because I could get a decent quantity. They shipped promptly and I was VERY PLEASED at the quality packaging and the excellent taste and quality of the seeds themselves. I highly recommend Bob's Red Mill sesame seeds. And if you want to make some absolutely delicious sesame seed cookies (aka benne seed wafers), use the recipe in Joy of Cooking, cookie section, for Pecan or Benne Seed Wafers, or use one of the recipes in the Charleston (SC) Receipts cookbook. Sesame seeds are very high in calcium - a delicious, nutritious food!
