We go through LOTS of laundry detergent, so just the convenience of having a case of detergent delivered to my door FOR FREE is worth it. Tide HE won't fade your colors like other HE detergents I've tried (Sears) and it gets out all of my stains - my stain sticks now sit unused and I don't have to sort through every item searching for stains (a time saver with 4 kids!) YES, you will get free shipping, and it reminds you to choose free shipping on the checkout page, so if you're new to Amazon, be sure to read the directions!! I can find cheaper sale prices in the grocery or WalMart, but the free delivery is worth the extra price.

Just ordered, so I can't comment on Amazon's shipping of it, but I have used it with my Miele front loading washer very successfully.
One major caveat, though: I use *WAY* less detergent than the scoop suggests - half of the lowest mark on the scoop is plenty. More than that and suds remain. Perhaps if you have pets or kids who play in the mud a lot you need the higher amounts, but my "normal" wash sure doesn't warrant it and in fact seems to work better with the lower amounts. (This also means you get a lot of loads out of a single box.) Again, this is for a Miele undercounter frontloader - YMMV on other brands.

Amazon gives free super saver shipping on anything over $25, so this item automatically qualifies(he must of tried shipping by a different method than super saver). I got it shipped free and the price is pretty good(can get it cheaper if you venture into the Wal-Mart jungle). Anyone else noticed that Amazon always seems to ship super saver faster than the original quote?

I ordered this product, checked the free shipping option (I'd ordered several other books at the same time) but did not receive free shipping because it was ordered through an outside vendor, Gristedes Supermarkets of NY. The shipping charge on the $9.99 item was a whopper at $23.44, bringing the total to $33.43. And when the package arrived today it contained only one of the four boxes of product. I've emailed Gristedes, hope they'll make good on the order without further hassle, but this has already been a poor experience.

It's laundry detergent, it cleans the clothes. For the reviewer who has the undissolved detergent left in the dispenser: make sure that your dispenser is set up for powder detergent instead of liquid. Some machines have a removeable plastic piece to adjust for powder or liquid.
