love it May 8, 2007 V. Nicks 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I love this stuff- I am hypoglycemic, and cook with this regularly- everything from dumplings to donuts and my family loves it just as much as the high-sugar, high-carb junk food! (can be found much cheaper at netrition tho)
Good Stuff. September 4, 2007 Celenia Pendygraft (New Albany, IN USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have to watch carbs to keep my weight down, but sometimes I really crave bread. This is a great product. It makes good cheese biscuits and pancakes. Doesn't do everything well and can have a strong taste if it's not used with the right ingredients. It needs cheese to make the biscuits really good. Also I bake biscuits in muffin pans to make them thicker. Yummy.
Very pleased August 1, 2007 ZombieLuv (NY) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I like this mix a lot. The texture is light although the batter looks thick. The muffins are out of this world, YUMMY. The website offers many delicious recipes. The pancakes are nice too. They have a nice buttery taste and I even found that cutting the required half & half with water and using only half the amount of melted butter makes them even better tasting and formed. This product is good for those bread type cravings when you're following a low carb eating plan and do not want to sabotage your hard work.
Nauseating smell September 5, 2007 John T. Thompson (Chattanooga, TN) 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
The odor of the raw Carbquik literally made me gag while trying to work with it. The final baked goods are not quite so bad, but they still have that unpleasant smell, which makes them taste "off." After trying cookies, biscuits and pancakes, we threw the rest out.
Terrible, had to throw it away January 7, 2008 Reader (Missouri United States) 3 out of 7 found this review helpful
This is the worst low-carb product I have ever tried. The biscuits tasted terrible, the pancake batter was like cement, the pizza dough didn't cover even half the pizza pan and tasted as bad as it smelled. I stupidly bought some for diabetic friends before I tried it, and had to throw several boxes away. There was not one recipe on the box that was edible.
