I ve used Merkur DE blades for a while and the Derbys are slightly superior at a lower price.

Using a double edge safety razor like this is good for your wallet and the environment. Those plastice refill blades cost you about 10 times more. These are manufactured from stainless steel with a Platinum and Chromium coating. These blades are made in Austria and give a much closer shave than disposables. Barbers use this type of blade. Try these with a Parker razor and you will never go back to plastic again. I said they were god for the environment too, because not only do you have less waste without the plastic but you can take used blades to art stores as most recycle art blades. By the way, DE stand for Double Edge.
