So So January 31, 2004 B. Bennette (Boston (Weymouth) MA) 20 out of 29 found this review helpful
I got this fan to use in my bathroom which gets quite steamy. It does the job well, but what I don't like is the switch location. It's in back of the top of the circular part of the fan so it's awkward to get at. Whoever designed the location of the switch must have been totally not thinking. But, it does work, and it cools the room and helps with the steaming up. I just can't understand why the switch is in such an illogical spot. I do not recommend this fan because of that.
Good but limited movement October 16, 2006 cheekymonkey (Santa Cruz, CA) 9 out of 11 found this review helpful
It's a good strudy fan made of hard plastic. The circulation is good. The only thing I don't like is that it has limitations on being able to move the head in the down position.
Terrific March 29, 2007 David B. Chun (Santa Monica, CA USA) 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
The fan is pretty quiet and has a lot of power. I like the white finish as it's very inconspicuous in my white room. The price was great and the delivery quick.
So far, I'm satisfied!! February 5, 2007 S. Clark (midwest, usa) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
This came directly from Amazon--- described as "brand new". The price was about $14 + $7.99 standard shipping. I ordered the fan a little after 12noon(central time) on a wednesday and it was shipped the same day(UPS). I received it the following monday--before the expected ship date. The fan appeared as described and so far there are no problems. Although the fan is not rotatable on it's own and can only be positioned manually in the "up & down" direction, it cools EXTREMELY well. It's even good when set on "low"!!! The noise level is pretty tolerable and the doesn't take-up alot of space on a desk or small table... Hope this helps!!
An OK fan. April 17, 2008 dallas7 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This little "Super Turbo" fan moves a lot of air, even on low speed. Physics wins out: with three diminutive blades, six inches across, it does so quite noisily. It's not insanely loud so kudos to the designers and the $15 price point. I bought a second one shortly after the first arrived on my doorstep. Perfect for common areas in the home, for me it would be intrusive while sleeping. For those needing a "white noise" generator, this one will put out all you need and then some. Spend some time near this fan, turn it off and the silence is deafening! I have one mounted six feet up on the narrow wall of my 22 by 10 foot kitchen. On high speed it creates a nice breeze across the whole room. Another is similarly mounted in a bathroom and does a quick job of de-steaming after a hot shower and keeping cool while finishing up. Even though I have a large floor fan in the garage, I'm thinking of getting a third HT804 to place next to the workbench. I am puzzled about something, though. The product description here tells this can be used "...as a whole room air circulator or for Direct Focused cooling." Similarly, the box says, "Use as an air circulator or for focused cooling," along with a picture showing three arrows pointing in different directions. These words imply dual modes of operation but neither the instructions or the fan itself indicate how this could be. Make no mistake: this fans blows in one and only one direction - straight out the front! One can surmise a communication disconnect between the engineers and the technical writers and package designers. You can't go wrong at this price if you want to move lots of air with a small footprint. But, if you're wanting quiet operation, you'll need something larger and more money.
