One of Roesle's superb kitchen tools, this 8-inch ice-cream scoop has fine edges on its 2-1/4-inch-long head to cleanly cut into the hardest ice cream or sherbet and create uniformly shaped scoops in one motion. Like all Roesle tools, utensils, and Open Kitchen storage components, this scoop is made of 18/10 stainless steel for rustproof beauty and long-lasting durability. The round handle has a satin finish to conceal finger marks. Th product features and editorial review spell Germany as the origin of manufacture. But the one I got was made in China.

After too many bent spoons to count, we broke down and bought this scoop. Its engineering has exceeded my expectations on a couple of fronts:
First, the scoop itself has very thin (but strong) edges that slice easily into even hard ice creams with less effort than other scoops I've tried.
Second, the shape of the scoop does indeed produce beautifully round spheres of your favorite frozen dessert...ideal for anyone who values presentation and function.

This ice cream scoop is the best! It feels great in your hand and forms perfectly shaped scoops. This is a perfect gift for any ice cream lover. Rosle makes incredible tools for all uses...I can't wait to acquire more tools for my kitchen.

Received two ice cream scoops (one is to be a gift) and they both had stickers on them that stated "Made In China" so someone better change the description of this item. Had I known that I would not have made the purchase.
