chipped marble February 23, 2008 AS (California) 4 out of 7 found this review helpful
Nice color, like the bamboo handles. But the surface edges were chipped and it's not worth the effort to pack it up and return it. Would not give this as a gift.
Great quality, heavy duty, almost 5 stars....but.... January 9, 2008 Andrew J. Vashro 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Pretty marble, nice heavy duty cheese knives with a catch. Cheese knives are not at all sharp. Makes it a little difficult to cut hard cheeses cleanly. Otherwise a very nice product, would buy again.
Decent Price for low quality July 21, 2008 Beth (California) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The cheese board is visually appealing and the handle is solidly anchored to the board, however the granite is not smooth to the touch, particularly around the beveled edges. It could have used a good deal more polishing. The bottom of the board is padded, which I thought was a nice touch so it doesn't clank on your countertops. The cheese knives are flimsy and not worth using. For the price, the product is ok but I certainly would not pay more for it, nor give it as a gift.
Great Buy! July 4, 2008 WiseWoman (South Eastern USA) Great buy for $15.00! Nice large 12" round piece like a pizza stone. Great quality base in terms of color, design, size, weight, sheen. Haven't yet tried knives but look ok and one can find cheap replacements should they not be sharp. Would buy for gift.
Looks better online than in person October 22, 2008 Molly Ringer (Naples FL) The stone isn't well polished, there was some sort of glue or other gunk on mine, and in trying to wash it off with a sponge all the finish is worn away in that spot but the glue is still there. Frustrating. The cheese knives appear well made, but I have not used this set yet. I wonder between the lack of finish on the top surface, and the bottom fully covered in cork how sanitary it can really be.
