A step up from your manual travel toothbrush June 29, 2009 Cricket (Seattle, Wa) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
My kids have been lucky to have pretty healthy teeth. Obviously brushing, flossing and seeing a dentist regularly is a big part of it, but anything I can find to make some of that easier is fine with my kids.
We currently have the Oral-B Vitality Dual Clean Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush at home, but it's not exactly something you can pack and take with you on an extended trip or even overnight. So when I saw the Oral-B CrossAction Power Battery-Powered Toothbrush, Pack of 3 on sale I decided to pick them up.
Upon opening I was very happy with my purchase. There had been some concern over the batteries NOT being replaceable, but I found this to be false. You can easily replace it with one AA battery. You don't get to choose your colors and we received two red and one purplish/blue. My kids have both been able to use them now that school is out and they are spending time away from home. Both say that they work just as good as their home brush and have no complaints. For me besides them just being nice power toothbrushes, the fact that they came with a brush cover was fantastic!
Eventually you will need replacement heads which you will know by the indicator bristles fading halfway and here they are on Amazon to order: Oral B CrossAction Power Refills, Soft , 2 Refills (Pack of 3) It's a total of 6 heads and if you use Subscribe & Save, it'll be an even better deal.
Because I am sure many already use these as there main toothbrush, I would like to recommend these as a better travel toothbrush.
Good value April 1, 2009 Laurie A. Churchill (Calais, me USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I got these electric toothbrushes because the hygienist told them to use an electric toothbrush to prevent further erosion from overbrushing. I bought a three pack of these because I tend to procrastinate when it's time to replace them. But I've been using the first one it seems like forever and it hasn't had to be replaced. so i am very satisfied.
Pretty good, considering .... June 5, 2008 2Sense (CA USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
For a travel toothbrush, it is a good choice vs. the 'ol manual brushes. That said, it doesn't quite compare to our counter top OralB which seems faster. The brush action on this also seems less refined than a counter model's brush action.
Besides for travel, this is also OK for home so that when brushing time comes, the kids can each have their own rather than compete to be first at the counter-top OralB. It can also be more fun for some compared to a manual brush.
At under 7 bucks, the price was good and it even comes with the battery. Compare that to the lofty price of some wiz-bang manual brushes these days and this looks even better.
In sum, if you think this might be for you, then next time your in the market for a manual brush, you might just give one of these a try instead and then decide for yourself.
Thorough cleaning July 17, 2009 Karen Gibson (Troy, MI) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've been using electric toothbrushes for years, and although it was tough at first getting used to the vibration, now I can't do without them. I particularly like these brushes because they're small enough that the vibration isn't bothersome or painful (try having something large buzzing inside your mouth--not fun!)
For the price, these are probably the best brushes on the market. They last quite a long while, and are so cheap I don't have any guilt disposing of them when the batteries die. A great buy.
It's a comprimise you should pass on July 3, 2009 Dustin F 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The basics: this brush uses a AA cell battery to power a rotating head. It's the size of a toothbrush and it has a cover for the head, which I think all toothbrushes should have.
the good news is that this is a very inexpensive toothbrush.
The bad news is that this brush is poor. The head doesn't spin with enough speed to make my teeth feel clean. It's still better than an underpowered brush, I suppose, but if you're in the market for one of these new brushes, please don't use this as a chance to save money. These are your teeth. There are many great competitors... some by this same company, that are much better for a bit more cash.
