A heating pad that ain't too hot. May 14, 2007 Brittany C. Pixton 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
This pad is comfortable and the velcro straps are very helpful for using it around different body parts. But it just doesn't get hot enough and the gray plug/switch is very clunky.
Good buy! May 12, 2007 K. Mackenzie 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
I really like this heating pad! It is everything I wanted for the price and I am very satisfied. I think it gets hot enough and has really helped my back. I like how soft and flexible it is, and the velcro strap helps hold it nice and tight against your back for the best heat. I don't have many problems with my neck although I did use it there one time. It is harder to get around your neck because of the size, but it still felt good the way I had it. Some people complain about the 2 hour shut off, which I don't understand. My husband is forgetfull and doesn't turn them off, which is a fire hazard. I like that it turns itself off, and even if I am still using it, it is not a big deal to turn it back on and it heats up very quickly. We may buy another one as we fight over this one at night!!
Flexible Heating Pad July 14, 2007 B. McHendry (Oklahoma) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I really like the fact that this heating pad is flexible and can be wrapped around and fastened with velcro. It stays in place nicely. The only problem I have had is that I like to use it at night and it goes off after 2 hours. I realize this is a nice feature for safety reasons, but sometimes I wish it would stay on longer.
Baby, it's cold on there November 27, 2007 Rosemary Thornton (Norfolk, VA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
After using this thing for more than an hour, I still couldn't tell if my body was warming the heating pad or if the heating pad was warming my body. I tossed it under the bed in disgust and haven't used it since. It's got the fancy-smancy controls and velcro and looks pretty and shiny, but it's a major disappointment. Remembering Mom's old heating pad, I went online and bought a USED heating pad - that dates back to the 1960s. When it arrived, I was pleased as punch. Fire that thing up and put it on LOW and the radiating warmth sends you to a state of raptured bliss. Set it on high and you'll be able to drop a couple eggs on it and fry 'em up real nice. But this Sunbeam Heating Pad (featured here) is a waste of money. I was profoundly disappointed in its performance. On its highest heat setting, the warmth really is barely discernible. If you're in pain, you don't have time to waste on this.
Really good heating pad! November 4, 2007 VACOWGIRL (VA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have used pretty much every brand of heating pad out there and I have to say that I think this is the best one yet. I did not find any problems with it heating up as previous reviewers did. It got very hot and stayed that way. It does auto shut off after a time but all the newer heating pads have this safety feature now. A little on the expensive side but I like that I can wrap it around my knee or back and use the velcro to keep it in place. I am going to buy a second one to keep in my recliner.
