I'm a personal trainer and agree that body fat can be tricky to measure. That said, this scale is very, very consistent. It will not necessarily match what you get on a dexa, etc. (my wife and I were only 0.5% from our caliper tests on athletic mode, which is pretty good since one caliper measurement to another can vary this much) so the goal is really to track your body fat and weight over time. This scale excels there. Setup a spreadsheet, measure yourself at the same time of the day, preferably right after a morning shower when your feet are moist (ladies dry your hair first), and track your progress.
Easy to setup, easy to use for two people plus random guests.
The weight is dead accurate even for doing postal packages etc.
Also, looks pretty nice.

Bought this scale after reading the reviews. Am very happy with it. It is the first scale I have ever had (including several high priced digitals) that actually gave accurate and consistent readings. If I step on it three times in a row, it gives the same reading, most do not. And it even does tenths. I love it. I was shocked, tho, one day when it said I had lost half my weight. I then realized that my cleaning folks had inadvertently changed it from lbs to kgs. I had a good laugh!

This scale was recommended by Consumer Reports magazine. I could not find in any store. Amazon is great for this type of situation.
The scale was recommended because of its accuracy in weight measurement. I strongly believe that it is correct in weighing my family and I.

I really like the actual weight measurement of the scale. However, when it comes to the body composition readings, I have not found the scale to be helpful. Readings fluctuate wildy from day to day.
