Doesn't fully rinse out! May 2, 2006 Pio (Orange County, CA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am a fan or several other Method cleaning products but do not like this product. I used it in my front-loading washing machine three times. It didn't go well through the dispenser at all. But the real problem was it left a lot of small gobs of softener here and there on certain fabrics. It was rather strange since it stuck to some fabrics but not others. FYI, I used Sears laundry detergent for front-loading washers (great stuff and great price since it's often on sale, by the way) with this Method Fabric softener. I don't know if this had something to do with it but I have never had this problem in the past and I have used three other fabric softener brands in the past with this same detergent and washer model. Anyway, I had to take them outside and tried to rub the gobs off (they clung to the fabric like semi-dried white glue) while spraying a hose over the affected areas. I used a lot of water and got pretty wet myself. Didn't think it would be so hard to do or I wouldn't have tried this method. Anway, I tried again and ran the washer on Heavy and it was better but I still had some gobs. So I changed the rinse cycle temp from cold to warm. This seemed to work but I only did this once. I wonder if I fully fill the washer next time and use Method whether it will fully rinse out even with warm water. Considering the price of this softener and the extra money I have to spend running my washer either longer or warmer than I usually do, it seems best for me to just dump the stuff in the garbage. I was very disappointed since I had quite liked the scent of the Method softener.

I like a little bit more fragrance and it seems to be a little week on the static control. You need to use a little more than I thought you would have to.
Too thick! April 23, 2006 B. Porter (Kentucky) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This fabric softener is so thick, that it clogs my softener dispenser! I love the detergent, so I thought I'd like this, but it's a no-go.
love this! July 1, 2006 M (ATX) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love this softener, the scent is great! I don't have any complaints with it being too thick. It is thick, but I haven't ever had any problems with it. I don't put it in a dispenser, I just put it in as the rinse cycle has completely filled up, before it starts to move the laundry around. I only use it on towels, I don't really like softener on my clothes. I use it when handwashing sweaters, I let it soak in the softener to keep the wool soft and smooth. Of course softener leaves a residue, that's what softener does. It leaves a film that makes things feel "soft". Which is why you're not supposed to use it on towels. It lowers the absorbency level of the towels becaeuse it coats the strands in liquid. Think about it. You're putting it in as the soap is rinsing out. The softener isn't rinsing out, it's IN the rinse cycle. Add water before you put it in, use less, there are plenty of things that you can do to make this work. I love it!
no problems here July 8, 2006 A. bauman (California) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm thinking the other reviewers aren't diluting the softener? This has never happened to me, either... I like the scent, and the feel of my clothes after... I've used these products for over a year without incident...
