toddler taste tested!, safe, great for everyone November 9, 2007 Michele Marger (New York) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was concerned about my toddler swallowing and ingesting too much flouride so I searched for flouride free toothpaste. My secondary concern was finding one that he would actually USE ! Well the pleasant strawberry taste of Tom's of Maine Natural Flouride Free Toothpaste for Children solved both the problems !!! While packing to go camping I consolidated and packed JUST the Tom's so we all used it for the weekend and it was GREAT ! Everyone liked it. I am glad I bought a case (6 tubes)
Fantastic! June 7, 2008 Purple Cow (Wellington, FL) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I do not have a baby or toddler, I have a 13 year old daughter. And SHE still uses this toothpaste! Being the overly picky eater she is, this toothpaste is perfect for brushing and has a great taste. She hasn't had any cavaties yet, and she's been brushing with this since she was 3. I don't know what she'll do when she's an adult (hates mint!), maybe she'll still use this toothpate!
Tom Terrific November 19, 2007 Sonny Saggese (Boston) This is the best toothpaste for toddlers. My daughter loves it, and actually enjoys brushing her teeth. It's also very safe and natural. She likes the Orange-Mango one as well.
Yummy and good-for-you toothpaste April 4, 2008 M. Turner I recently bought this toothpaste for my 2 1/2 year-old daughter, who does not yet have the hang of spitting out toothpaste after brushings. After we ran out of the now discontinued Burt's Bees Orange Cream toothpaste, we were on the market for other fluoride-free options for her besides the popular ones found at pharmacies or supermarkets. We wanted something as natural as possible, in a flavor that would appeal to her. Given she likes strawberries, we thought we'd try the Tom's of Maine fluoride-free in Silly Sctrawberry. I took the chance in ordering a 6-pack, not knowing what her reaction to it would be. Well, she loves it. She gets excited every time I mention brushing her teeth with the strawberry toothpaste, and unlike before when it was hit-or-miss, she always keeps her mouth open for brushings with this one. As a parent, it makes this aspect of getting ready for naps and bedtime all the more pleasant. Perhaps Tom's of Maine should consider making children's fluoride-free toothpaste in other flavors...
Great quality product. May 8, 2008 Dawn (USA) My son is so unwilling to try new things as far as taste goes, and I noticed he began to give me a hard time brushing when I switched to this product. But as a parent, I tasted the toothpaste and found it to have a very pleasant taste, with natural ingrediants listed on package as well. So, although it did not work out for me, I would still highly recommend it to anyone looking for an alternative to the limited selection of flouride free toothpaste available in stores.
