For those out there that suffer from hypersensitive, acne prone, easily irritating skin, that is also prone to severe drying and eczema...this product is worth a try.
I am one of those unfortunate people that has the kind of skin I just described, and this is the first and only cleansing bar that I can use on a daily basis. It's the only product I've found that DOESN'T aggrevate my acne, or hurt the sensitive skin on my face and hands.
I can attest that it won't clog your pores, and it rinses completely clear with no residue whatsoever. In fact, the slightly drying nature of this cleansing bar is beneficial to those suffering from acne. Unlike other acne bars that harshly strip your skin of oil and sebum, this cleansing bar removes just enough oil to keep it from being irritating.
I sometimes gets eczema on my hands and fingers, and if you also have easily irritated skin you will find this cleansing bar to be a God send! You can use it daily as often as needed. (If you skin tends to dry easily, especially from hand washing, I recommend using Lubriderm Seriously Sensitive Lotion thruought the day.)
Purpose cleansing bar is unscented and has little if any deodorizing affect. I use both the purpose cleansing bar and a mild deodorant soap when showering and bathing.
I can't recommend this product enough and I hope it works as well for you as it does for me.

18 years ago I developed sensitive skin. I am the 1 in 10,000th person who will still get a rash from hypoallergenic products. My dermatologist recommended this soap instead and I have been using it ever since.
I can wash my hands dozens of times a day with this and not get dry hands or a contact dermatitis rash. I have bars all over the house, I travel with it, and my husband uses it now because he has developed sensitive skin too.
Johnson & Johnson has NEVER changed the formula for the soap in 18 years. This is a God-send since most companies are always "improving" their products and making something that worked like a dream for me to suddenly give me problems.
Occasionally I will try another soap because I miss rose scented and lavendar scented products. Even soaps that are "pure," "natural," hand-made still cause me itchy rashes. For me there is no substitute for this soap. It leaves my skin rash-free, clean, blemish-free, and so very soft.
I don't leave home without it!

I have been using this soap after my dermatologist recommended it over 10 years ago. Occasionally I have tried other products but always had to throw them away when they began to irritate my skin (exception - Clinique soap - I've used their travel sizes to take on trips, but I'm not paying the full price for something I use 2x/day!). Had acne as a teenager and still have mortifying adult acne - every other soap I've tried leaves my skin too oily or too abraded. Pair this with Clinique gel moisturizer or Dove sensitive skin moisturizer and you have a great solution for troubled skin.

I have sensitive facial skin and have always suffered from itchiness and minor skin irritation due to perfumed soap. Even baby soap like Ivory causes reactions on my face.
Just a few weeks use of J&J Purpose Gentle Cleansing Bar to wash my face resulted in clear smooth skin, free from irritaion and itchiness.
Highly recommended!
