Same thing as Type H May 18, 2008 The MacUidhir (Vinland) 39 out of 41 found this review helpful
Not a long review here; just some comments. These M+ cards are, in practical usage, about the same speed as Type H XD cards. The maximum capacity for them is unchanged: 1 to 2 gB per card. They are shaped the same, look the same, and Olympus claims that they will work in "nearly all" available XD compatible devices. Subjectively, I am seeing more and more Type M+ and far fewer Type H cards in retail stores for reasonable prices, but functionally they seem like the same item. I am using one 1 gB Type H, one 2 gB Type H, and two 2 gB Type M+; if there is a difference, I cannot detect it. If you want to check your camera's compatibility with M+ cards, use the Olympus list found here: http://www.olympus.co.uk/consumer/images/DI_Media_Compatibility.pdf
GREAT! June 28, 2008 Joann Rockwell 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
MUST BUY! I'm one of those users who thinks I know what I'm doing but really, who's kidding? I'm a total novice when it comes to digital photography. So when I needed to buy an external picture card, I went to Amazon reviews and found this one. The 2+ is seriously FAST and, as the other XD cards, has proven to be both reliable and EASY. Thanks to the other reviews I not only got a great product but I kind of sound like I know what I'm doing. It was worth the price. Thanks Amazon reviewers - this is a great product!

A must have to get the best video on the Olympus 1030sw. M+ is a must for fast saving photos too.
Works as expected August 12, 2008 Rob (NJ United States) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
If you have an Olympus camera, you unfortunately need an Olympus brand card to unlock some features such as the panorama functionality. This isn't a technical limitation (technically all brands cards are the same) but the camera looks at the serial # on the card to know if it's Olympus brand or not. Since it's an "Type H" card, it's fast enough for high quality video on most cameras. 640x480 to be exact, which is pretty much SD. It's actually surprisingly good on my camera. You can get about 20min on a 2GB card. The M+ is faster than the regular M cards, and cheaper than the H. Not to mention it's available in 2GB (which I haven't seen much of for the H version in the US). Making it a pretty good buy. The M+ is clearly the better buy of the xd-Picture cards... though xd-Picture is somewhat inferior to other card formats. But unless you buy a new camera you can't do much about that. Make sure your camera is compatible with M+ (most 2GB M and H compatible cameras are fine) by checking on the camera manufacturer's website. Even if your camera's older than the M+ cards, it will likely still work.
Olympus M+ xD memory card August 2, 2008 MalindaRusso 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Works fine. The "plus" is faster than standard M cards. Shooting RAW images at 6M, used a stopwatch, retesting three or more times per card my (averaged) results are as follows: M (1GB) FUJIFILM made in Japan 0:07:89 M+(2GB) OLYMPUS made by Toshiba in Japan 0:06:00
